Explained that the function f:[0,1] ---> (equilateral triangular region) is well-defined because for any t in [0,1] the value f(t) is the limit of a Cauchy sequence (and hence exists). Also explained why f is continuous.
We will need some theory related to the compactness of [0,1] to prove that f is surjective. To this end I introduced the notion of a closed subset A of a topological space, and the notion of an accumulation point of a subset A of a topological space. I proved that A is closed if, and only if, it contains its accumulation points.
