Introduced the notion of an eigenvector of a matrix A, and the related notion of eigenvalue. We saw (geometrically) than some matrices clearly have eigenvectors, while some matrices clearly don't have any eigenvectors.

Introduced the characteristic polynomial P_A(λ) of a matrix A. Stated the Cayley-Hamilton Theorem, which asserts P_A(A)=0 .
