The 3rd de Brún Workshop

Algebra, Algorithms, Applications

The de Brún Centre was founded at NUI, Galway in 2008, supported by the Mathematics Initiative 2007 programme of Science Foundation Ireland. The Centre aims to establish within Ireland a leading international forum for research and education in computational algebra and its applications.

A principal activity of the Centre is the organization and hosting of international Workshops, which bring together specialists from different areas of computational algebra and its applications, and provide advanced lecture courses delivered by leading experts.

The 3rd de Brún Workshop covers a broad range of relevant topics. The format of the Workshop is as follows.

Dates: 30 November—10 December 2009

Week 1 (30 November—5 December): an international conference in Computational Algebra.

Week 2 (7 December—10 December): a series of related short lecture courses, with a particular focus on applications.

The lecture courses offered in the second week will be especially beneficial to early career researchers and postgraduate students.

The conference is supported by The Millennium Research Fund, NUI Galway.
